Please note the upcoming process and dates for the transition to the new CTP Exam Prep (EPP) materials (From the current version, referred to as the CTP6, to the new version, referred to as the CTP7):
The last exam window on the current material (known as CTP6) will be the December 2022 – January 2023 testing window. If you are testing in this window, then you can purchase and study the current material only.
For candidates considering enrolling in the CTP Exam and wish to test in the June 2023 – July 2023 testing window or later. You can purchase the current material (CTP6) now and begin your studies. Near final drafts of the material show it to share 85-90% similarity between the two versions.
On December 1, 2022, a new tab will appear when you log in to the CTP Exam Prep Platform, this new tab will be the CTP7 material and will be where you will complete the remainder of your preparation for the exam. The CTP6 tab will continue to be available through February 1, 2023, at which time the last CTP test window on the old material will be closed and that tab and version of the platform will be sunset.
This should allow for seamless access to material for all students (who are within the 1-year initial subscription or on extension because of a future test date), regardless of your chosen exam date. Should you have any questions regarding the timeline or process, you may open an inquiry here .
If anything causes this timeline to change, AFP will update this page with the new timing of the go live for CTP7. Please check back for additional information.
